Pulchritude Of Loss is a poetic, metaphorical and vulnerable elegy on coming to terms with the ebbs and flows of sex in a long-term relationship. It references Jun'ichirō Tanizaki’s Praise of Shadows, an essay on Japanese aesthetics, Picasso’s Blue Period as a means to find the beauty in loss of love. This Art Pop/Dream Pop/Electronic piece opens with a prophetic, almost religious 8 piece male chamber choir, it’s percussion is composed with Buchla samples and electric static sounds when plugging in ¼ inch cables, layered with lush sounds of vintage analog synth like the MiniMoog and the Oberheim and pitch shifting Aish Divine’s vocals with a teenage engineering OP-1.
